well that would screw up Hong Kong, or Phuket.  in google earth, the terrain is so jagged and pointy...

then you fill in the data in the text box that pops up, and then save it. Then it should appear on the side panel of google earth under the search box, save as, save to the desktop as a .kml file, then open it with the FSX KML program (links on the page for this program) but you must have the deluxe edition of FSX because the FSX KML program requires the FSX SDK. For the stuff in the FSX KML program read the page and it tells you exactly what to do. I hope this helped :) P.S. If you get this to work can you make me some scenery of my home town ;) If you need an more help just post and I'll help you with the FSX KML program as i'm getting ready to go to school now. :D

I've worked with FSX_KML before, it's easier to use than it sounds.

Basically, you take the shape of something in Google Earth, put the shape file into FSX_KML, assign a landclass variable to that shape and compile it as a .bgl.

Only a few clicks, nothing more.

"Add KML" -> (Select KML file) -> "Description" -> Mark and press F2 -> Select appropriate landclass type from the pull-down menu -> Tab "build" -> Select paths to FSX and the SDK, optionally also to your desired output folder -> Check "Run SDK tools" -> Click "Build" -> Scenery file gets built -> Install the .bgl as usual.

So much for the basic principle.

a) Don't know about the photoscenery. I guess not. Wouldn't make much sense anyways.

b) Hydro_polygons_Generic_Lake maybe? Don't know if selecting "perennial" or not will make a difference.
