LOWI - Innsbruck, Austria
Absolutely stunning, mountains all around, houses on ledges on the mountains and down below in the valleys. A river flowing through and traffic passing by on the road. Allegedly one of the most difficult approaches. You fly in from 13,000 feet skimming the tops of the mountains to instantly drop to the runway underneath you in the valley below, hardly any approach distance to give you time. Top of the mountains there are winding, twisting valleys with more airports and streams are visible everywhere. The other end doesn`t look so bad but still challenging, it was approaching night time when I flew out again, to go on to Amsterdam, ahem, cough, for a cultural visit.
SVVA - Valencia, the airport is in a crater in the ground, in real life I`m led to believe the airport is on flat ground. But it certainly looks the biz, with mountains in the near distance, a lake and Valencia itself. Absolutely gorgeous!

Unfortunately this mountain side runway doesn`t look its best until an addon is available. The original airport has a bend in it and on landing you touch down at an uphill angle, go over the brow before you go on to the extremely short but flat section to a very small parking area. Taking off, if viewed from the parking area gives the impression of the plane running down the side of the mountain as it goes over the peak and down the angled part. A tree is in the middle of the runway in the FSX version, right at the end of the runway, that isn`t there in real life though. Its still worth viewing for the mountain approach and fantastic scenery all around.
