I'm getting more disgusted with FSX by the minute.

I just fired up FSX and get an error message that "activation failed" and that I should reinstall FSX!

MS releases this BS and then wonders why there is so much piracy?

Sadly enough, until people will be tolerant of the absurd and easily circumvented anyway methods a lot of software houses (not only M

what do you mean "no wonder their is so much piracy" when activation is to stop piracy, and from the sounds of things you have a pirated copy if its telling you activation has failed..that or u didnt activate it....

Just because his activation failed doesn't mean he has a pirated copy.

why else would it fail thoigh, if u have an proper copy it works.... ive made several systems for people, done several windows XP installs adn never before have i come across an activation problem. the only time ive seen it is when my friend tried to activate his pirated XP.

I only have a few minor mods so fare so, re-installing will be no big deal.
However, what about further down the road when this happens?

Is there even any point in re-installing FSX now before a major patch is released instead of just uninstalling it?
I think not!!


Thus why I am waiting and flying around Alaska in FS9  until the FINAL VERSION, Vista, DX-10 and any other patches are released....

Ahhhh, time to go get lost in FS9 where there are no worries....
Only me, the bush and the elements...

I think it's just a case of "there", "their", and "they're"...

..(and using them in the correct application)... :-[...!

...all will be resolved then....basically...;)...!

Just because someone has a failed activation doesn't mean its pirated... He was just saying no wonder there is piracy as people don't want to pay money for something so bad, which I agree with fully... (not agreeing with piracy, rather the fact that FSX should NOT have been released in its currrent state)
