I suspect the 777 has no DVC.

The 747 DVC will not work in any other aircraft.

arrrghh'!!!! i need the 3d look so i can estimate my plane to land!!!
and my actual 777 airplane panel wont work cuz. its only display the NAV screen and panel that's it.
i wonder why some one converted the plane and left the plane with dumb incomplete panel??

the reason why cos i got my own plan schedule to fly from Perth to Malaysia 5hrs flight tonight at 230am? or 10am?
and i would like to fly with 777,,

You mean the DVC (Dynamic Virtual Cockpit) F9 & 2D panel F10.

Lots of 3rd party aircraft have no DVC. It's a matter of preference. Which 777 is this?

A link or page number would have been helpful. I assume you mean the one posted here. http://www.simviation.com/fsxjets4.htm

Note what it says in the file decription.
FSX Boeing 777-300 pack. FS2004 original aircraft. I did add Cathay Pacific textures to this model and also change sound to the new fsx b737-800.tested in fsx, everything is working fine, but only has 2d panel.

There must be a reason for this. Either the original FS2004 model has no DVC or the DVC does not display properly in FSX. You could look around for the original & try it in FSX but I think it would be much easier if you use another aircraft.

PS. I think this is the FS9 default 777-300. The FS9 default Boeing777-300.gau does not appear to display properly in FSX.

I think that with FSX, you can use the default 747 virtual cockpit for your 777. There's a line for choosing what VC model you want to use with your plane. The line is quite explicit, I think it's specified in one of the .cfg files of an aircraft. Have a look to the cfg files of one of the default FSX liners, you'll find it quick.

Ah yes, but have you tried it? I noticed the extra Interior MDL file with the associated interior= entry pointing to it in Model.cfg soon after installing the FSX Demo. This made me think that the interior model (the DVC) would be separate from the exterior visual model & that it might be possible to swap DVCs or add them to aircraft without one. I'm handicapped by only having the Demo to play with but my experiments so far have been without success. I've not seen anyone claiming to have actually done it.

PS. The FS9 default 777 already has a DVC. The problem is that the gauges don't display.

For the DVC swap, I haven't tried yet. Just like you, I noticed those lines when I was playing with the demo, but when I got the game I forgot about that and never thought about trying...  :-/

For the 777 gauges, I'm not sure but I think you need to move the FS9 gauges files as well. Don't ask me why, but it seems that some of the default planes have their gauges in their own Panel folder, and some have them in the normal Gauges folder of FS9. So when you're moving one of them, you have to ensure that you move everything that is needed.

Also, for some FS9 non-working gauges, it is possible to use FSX gauges instead. By making a simple comparison between a panel.cfg of a FS9 plane and the one of a FSX plane, it is very easy to understand the difference and make the modification, in order to use the FSX gauges instead.

i tried to put 747 panel in 777. what i did is copy all panel from 747 and paste it into 777 panel folder. what happen is its only display 2d panel. but for 3d panel.. none! and forgot to tell you this, when i use 777 panel, for 2d panel only NAV screen appear on the dashboard that's it. for 3d panel i can see the whole cockpit BUT! there's blank on this screen panel, no compass, no nav screen, no alltitude screen, no engine details screen as well. so, i think we can do something about it. only thing i need is to display all this functional screen so i can see what happen on my plane.... but i love to use 747 2d and 3d panel.. please describe...   :-?

Why would you want the b747 panel in a 777 ?   The b747 is a 4 engine, the 777 is a twin engine.

I'm resurrecting this topic as the problem with the FS9 default Boeing777-300.gau not displaying in FSX is solved thanks to dsdawson. Read this. ---> http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1174614327
