How to change mission aircraft?

In the mission select screen, ya need to check the box that says Enable Mission Changes or something of the sort, start the mission, press ALT to bring up the toolbar once ingame, and change your aircraft. I don't think you'll get credit for the mission though when you change it. Hope this helps.
