VC panel textures not showing up in 737

Postby Stephono » Sat Feb 10, 2007 4:04 pm

I have no idea how this happened, but now whenever I go to the default 737-800's virtual cockpit the textures dont show up :( All the guages still show up, but everything else is just blank white! I don't like flying in the 2D panel very much, so if anyone could tell me how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you by accident mess up the textures?

Or does this happen with an add-on livery?

I don't know how I could have meesed up the textures, and the virtual cockpit is messed up for all of the liveries, not just one.

Hm.

Other than that, your sim works fine, doesn't it?

Did you delete the "blank" repaint per chance?

In the default 737-800 installation all the non-livery specific textures are contained in the
folder named "texture".

The other paints have the livery-specific textures in their texture folder along with a file
named "texture.cfg"  which "points" to the locations FSX should look for textures when
it doesn't find them in the current folder.

If you have deleted that "texture" folder or the "texture.cfg" files, you will have a problem.

For reference, the "texture" folder should contain 24 files total.

You should also have to ",mdl" files in the "model" folder. One, the normal  "B737_800.mdl"
file and the other, the B737_800_intereior.mdl" file.
