It would be considered addon scenery so you can put it there.
In fs2004 I had folders in the addon scenery folder where I put my add on scenery I kept mesh files in a seperate folder from regular scenery. I would make a folder in FSX ADDON SCENRY FOLDER called AIRCRAFTCARRIERS and put all of your carriers there.
I can not rember if you will have to activate it like you would have to do in FS2004 I seem to rember reading something that you might not have to activate addon scenery in FSX like you did in FS2004 But I am not 100% sure.
Once in the sim you can even make AI plans for traffic to and from the carrier 8-)
