To many stars at night

Postby freedomhays » Fri Jan 12, 2007 11:54 am

There are to many stars at night and dawn and dusk,  and also they are to big and to bright.
Anyway to correct this.
Thanks... :)

Add clouds!!!!!!!!!
There are thousands of stars visible to the naked eye in real life. So, if you don't want to see them add real weather or cloud cover of your own.
A natural solution I would say!!!!!

look for a file called autostrx.zip
with this little program you can add or reduce the size, add planets, comets, what ever..
Check this site first  ;D of course, if not here try the two other popular sim sites flightsim.com and avsim.com

The stars are actually more plentiful and brighter in real life than in FSX.

The problem is with "light polution" from the city lights, etc that lessen this perception.

The delema is, do you lessen the star brightness so that stars are realistic near city lights

Thanks for the mention! You can get AutoStar here:

http://www.kline.demon.co.uk/AutoStarX.zip

By default AutoStar provides brighter and more colourful stars but you can also reduce the brightness and total number of stars. Here's some discussion at Avsim:

and im guessing that stars can be only so small on a comp screen before they dissapear and there are more in real life

infact there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on all of the beeches and deserts of the world ;D or somthing like that
big or small i like them all ...? that dosent sound right
slew mode dose not count as flying
