Hi All,
I thought I might share this, as it caused me a MAJOR headache over the weekend.
On installing FSX Deluxe, and trying to run, I got the error message:
"MSXML 4 SP2 is missing - please try re-installing FSX to fix the problem"
Repairing (using FSX Disc 1) didn't help, and non of the normal things helped.
After around 6 hours of trying (and reading forums) I got there.
Basically, when I got Windows XP SP2, it didn't install MSXML4 correctly, and subsequent program installations had compounded problems.
But, here's the steps that I took to fix it:
1) Uninstalled NERO (a DVD burning software) - I read on a forum that it may cause problems
2) Shutdown and re-started
3) Downloaded the MSXML4 and re-installed it from:

4) Shutdown and restarted
5) Repaired FSX - inserted Disc 1 again, and it gave the option to 'Repair'
6) Shutdown and restarted
7) Ran FSX
Doing things in this order seemed to do the trick fine, and it's all working now.
Hopefully this will be of help to someone out there!
Jim
