Deluxe or Normal Edition/FX newbie

Postby joey_d1119 » Sat Jan 20, 2007 7:16 am

First here are the specs of my computer....Will my computer be able to run this at moderate to high settings?

3.2GHZ

1 gig of ram

Pentium 4

Radeon X800GT 128 mb

Second....is there really a difference between the Deluxe and Regular edition besides the 20 more missions? Are the planes included in the deluxe pretty cool or can I do without spending the extra 20 dollars?

Third....I am really itching to do an emergency landing in Flight Sim....does the new game allow you to do that and experience serious engine trouble mid flight?

Most likely low medium settings or maybe medium settings.

Depends on what you want in FSX. When you want to see everything in full glory, you need a system like mine.

Yes. Even if you hardly use the exta planes and avionics suite, there might be future add-ons requiring the one or another gauge from FSX Deluxe.
Plus, there are some more detailed airports and cities.

In some of the missions, yes. I don't know if the "standard fault system" is better than in FS9, since all of my free flights are normal, perfect ones. :)

You'll get many many hours of enjoyment over a several year period out of FSX. Considereing the effort and time you'll expend customizing and adding to it.. not to mention what you'll end up spending on hardware as you upgrade your experience.. the extra 20 bucks for the deluxe version is  next to nothing.

Also - at some point in time you WILL be absorbed into the madness and you WILL want to start creating content.... and you can only do that with the SDK tools that come with the DeLuxe version...

Just ask Brett... he used to be a quiet, mild mannered flightsimmer, comfortably flying along until one day he decided - gee, I havent seen a model of xxxx... I wonder how it's done.....
