I have the same problem Pepper... the birds just will not appear... but IRL I don't think they use birds as a thermal indication. ;) Try using the variometer. :)

When it comes to "Thermal Visualisations", as in "keeping warm during those cold Winter days", This picture always springs to mind...

Thermal Vests...>>>

...much better than prating about in Gliders on a cold day...!

...would you not agree... ;)...?

Not quite the visualization i was looking for paul ;D.

An-225, they obviously do IRL, not a lot i geuss, but the thing is that i dont want the thermals to be visualzed in the schematic way, and this is the only natural option that is availible. therefore i am wondering if anyone else actualy saw them, otherwise im starting to wonder if MS actualy did include them, because when googling around it seems that nobody has actualy seen them.

Surely you should just be looking for the correct clouds.  Small cumulus are usually the top of a thermal.
Or look at the wind meter. If it suddenly increases or decreaes. Or suddenly changes direction. Though I have to say son't try thermal flying on rough days. It's dangerous!!!

No problem seeing birds here

Birds are very small so you are not going to see them 1/2 mile away unless its a flock, which I have also seen.

Birds are modeled into other items such as bridges, lighthouses, boats and AI trees. They are triggered by a item being called including AI trees so those who hacked their textures and autogen may have hacked their birds. When thermal visual is set to NATURAL and the model is called to be rendered and thermals are in the area you will see birds. Some depend on the time of year.

The Statue of Liberty has birds modeled with it.

Sliders  must be high enough for them to appear as well.
