on the contrary of what many spoke about the missions, they are indeed pretty great 8-) and i, myself am very enthusiastically flying them all... (of course, i do enjoy my regular dosage of free flying, but eventually, i feel like flying towards a goal)

oh well, what i was wondering is, eventually i

I agree.  I liked just flying aroung in FS9,  and doing the same in FSX.
I liked making pdeudo flight plans, VFR, of course.

But I am having a blast with the missions.  These are great. I am taking my time getting through them.
I had to laugh though, on the Mountain Flying Tutorial, when I came in hot, braked too hard, and nosed over, skidded to a halt,  and the magic voice says.."Great Landing!".

hehe.   I have already had a few ideas for new missions, myself. Maybe when I get better an flying ( and landing) I will dabble.

MORE MISSIONS!
Has Microsoft hinted at mission expansion packs, or are they going to leave that to public. I am guessing the public can do better anyway.

Building Missions: To learn how to build your own Missions, use the Missions Creation Kit.
The Missions Creation Kit is a feature of Flight Simulator Deluxe version.
Mission Creation Kit: The Mission Creation Kit explains how to create Flight Simulator Missions. Missions are structured flights, which can be challenges or adventures or simply a fun way to educate the user by providing tasks or training.

Okay... here's a question...

I had not looked before,  but where is the Mission Kit?

I have FSX Deluxe.   I looked throughout the interface, and saw nothing regarding this.
Is it a seperate install on the disk?

Why not make backup copies of these files prior, and then drop hem back into place after the SDK install?
Just a thought.   So the Mission Kit is really just the SDK.. Okay.

There is an awesome mission available through both flightsim.com and www.fsxmission.com (I prefer fsxmission.com over flightsim.com)  which I love doing over and over... its the firefighting "Oregon Ablaze" one.  Man is that FUN!  The helicopter they provide is very stable (ie unrealistic haha!) and is incredibly fun.

At fsxmission.com they also have tutorials for creating your own missions.
