-Some missions have screwed up skill level (african safari for example, according to the menu it is "beginner". Get to the next screen right before you take off and it says "intermediate".)

Not really a bug but a annoyance to me and I noticed a few others is the refections on the inside glass (windscreen)

Most noticeable in the Lear haven't much time to really try out everything yet to get a really good idea of what is a bug or what may be a limitation of my setup.

What video card do you have? If it dosn't have shaders 2.0, try fiddling with advanced animations.

Also, if you have all shaders disabled, theres your problem.

i got a fx 5200, it will take me to the DX 10 cards that im waiting for

but yeah, in my opinion if it does it for some people and not for all, its a bug and should be fixed for those people no? and can you point me in the right direction in settings. i cant find it at all


oh yeah sometimes on ATC, when i fly an IFR flight i had this happen. I was flying heading 085 and they said turn right heading 125 so i did and then right when i started turning they said turn left heading 085

The fx5200 has terrible shading performance, and although it has shaders 2.0, ACES may of disabled advanced animations on that card completly.

p4-3g....6600-128mb...1g ram....and my cd rom now makes wierd noises, which may not have anything to do with it.

No surprise there. ATC in FSX is the very same ATC of FS9, and in FS9 was borderline stupid at times, so expect borderline stupidity in FSX as well.

So ATC hasn't changed from FS9 then!!!!!!!  In real life sometimes ATC will ask you to turn to aid identification on the radar screen. As far as ATc on the sim goes one can put up with American accents though it would be nice to have a regional variation. But perhaps the most important upgrade for ATC should be traffic separation and given speed advisories.

I have this card, and I can definitely say that there are no advanced animations at all.
I got in the glider, and when it's in the air, the wings hang down just as if it were on the ground.

I wonder just how "NEW" FSX is.  I fly from Ankeny, IA KIKV  in both FS9 and FSX there is a wind sock in the middle of the runway 18-36.  With object collisions on...you have to practice short-field procedures or crash every takeoff and landing.

That is the new R.I.O.P ( Runway Incursion and Obstacle Prevention) feature for advance piloting skills.
