How to solve framerate problems in the UK

Postby Mictheslik » Mon Oct 30, 2006 6:31 am

Buy photo scenery from justflight........no this is not an advert, but before, with autogen and traffic I had 9fps. Now with the demo of photoscenery I am getting 30 (locked at 30)

Try the demo here

or see my pics here

It is a great improvement.

The loading times arent too bad either.

...Fine!....just don't try landing on the ground....
...you will be VERY disappointed at landing on a flat photograph.... :'(....!

I gave up Photographic scenery years ago when they were first released by Justflight...!

Fine for 40,000+ feet AGL flights, but for lower than 5,000 Feet AGL....forget it!... :o...!
...no trees...no buildings...no nuffin'...!

Paul....much prefers quality 2D/3D Autogen Scenery...;)...!

I paid the princely sum of
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Hi Mic... ;D...!

Photographic scenery is an amazing novelty....
..which unfortunately wears off if you are a regular low level Bush Pilot who likes to land in out-of-the-way places, and wonders where all the flippin' trees have gone... :o...!
LOL...!

Photographic Scenery has been discussed many times and its surprising how many have been disappointed with it after the high altitude novelty has worn off....especially after emptying their Piggy-Bank to purchase it... :'(...!

There are some free examples here at Sim V covering San Francisco and Los Angeles under "Scenery".

Tried them...quickly abandoned them... ;D...!

They really are fantastic providing you always stay above 5,000 feet AGL, but for low-level scenery hoppers they are confusing, and sometimes disappointing after a while... :o...!

Try before you buy...;)...!

Paul...a 2D/3D tree-hugger....;)..... ;D...!

Nahhh..

As I said in the posting I added to the other thread, it's far too bleak for me. Couldn't live with that I'm afraid.

...as a disappointed user of Justflights VFR Photographic Scenery; England and Wales, (in a previous life), I won't be convinced until I can view a Piper Cub making its way at ground level across a field and avoiding all the trees, hedges, and buildings in every part of the country.....and not just selected areas...;)...!

My understanding is that this is the whole country, its not like the VFR Addons, and yes I know it has to be paid for, but if they can produce that then I will be well chuffed ;D
