Good lord. In the 18 hours since I last looked at this thread four more pages have been written and it's been locked and unlocked again.

Just remember people, this thread isn't about the abysmal FPS people are getting, or the fact that it's designed to run on the hardware of the future. It's about MS royally screwing up on things that should have been right. You can shout all you like about how they have to model the entire world and wot not but they did far better than this in previous versions. So what went wrong this time?

"You're gonna like the way you look."

;D

I have to say though, this has been the most exhausting thread I have ever read. I like to thank you, Ozzy, for locking this thread up for a moment. It's a good way to cool down.

In all seriouseness, let's just forget about this whole sharrade as it seems to have gotten pretty far so far. It should be concluded right now by all of us that:

1. Microsoft will never be able to make everyone happy.
2. The FS series will never satisfy everyone.
3. The FS series will always have flaws, bugs, whatever you like to call it.

So let's just forget about this whole thing as it's starting to have the same effect as politics.

Symptoms of Politics:

1. Headache
2. Overdose of aspirin
3. Everone overstressed
4. Hangover-like feeling when debate ends

Why?

What is about some people that whenever a PROPER discussion starts they want to end it.

So far this is on 10 pages with over 3000 views so people are INTERESTED in it.

Just because you may not agree with some of the views expressed and because some of the views are expressed occasionally in - shall we say - slightly extreme ways, it doesn't mean that people should be stopped from saying them.

I far from agree with some of the things that some guys have said here and I know that a lot of people disagree with some of the things I've said. But there's nothing wrong with that.

The fact is that the people who think they have a grievance need an outlet and that's partly what a forum like this is for. Shaking a few people up is how things get changed and it's partly what will help bring about the changes and improvements that we all need to happen with FSX.

The world is not a warm cozy place where everyone gets on all the time. People have disagreements and grievances and they need to be got into the open.

Wounds don't always heal if they are not treated.

It's no good anyone trying to pretend that all is well with FSX because obviously there's a large groundswell that says it's not. Sorry that MS get a bash from time to time - but they are big boys and get well rewarded for their efforts. And they know that.

Not so long ago when it suited them they wanted to communicate like mad. Now the boot is on the other foot and the folks who went out and bought their much-hyped product want to do the same.

So let them.

I guess I don't have to read this thread,  hard not to though.
But I look to this forum for help and advise on subjects related to the sim hence  simviation and of course I am a positive person with no anger to anyone nobody or  poor or rich and be it in the enterprise non, non, non,
I personally look at all this and maturely and intelligently try to find the better way,
So  as we go on a constructive or constructive and mature object view is a welcome ....
I feel after reading all these post,  and from long time members  ( over 1000 post or so)  and less,
it seems that most posters are very immature,
Sorry,  I am an old mate with a lot of energy.....

That is brilliant - and all done on a 1 GHz Celeron with 256 MB RAM  ;D

Would love to know what rig that guy has got. Just look at the speed of hat panning and no jittering or hesitation of the external textures at all.
