Window'ing FSX

Postby partyboy911 » Fri Oct 20, 2006 10:40 pm

Hey Everyone.

Does anyone know how to window FSX, or in other words...not have it full screen.

In FS9 I went to run, "%appdata%\Microsoft\", FS9, FS9 Config, and then put a 0 on Full Screen.

Its different for FSX, anyone know how to window  FSX?

And in case some didn't realise (like me!)

When in windowed mode if you press and keep your finger on the ALT key it will go back to full screen mode ;)

This may be obvious to most (?) but wasn't to me!
I get better graphics and FPS in full screen and only go to window mode to change properties (when FSX is working!)

Alt + Enter toggles between Full Screen & Windows mode on all versions of FS since FS98.

When in windowed mode if you press and keep your finger on the ALT key it will go back to full screen mode

This may be obvious to most (?) but wasn't to me!

The Alt key alone toggles the menu bar in Full Screen mode. This is different from Windows mode.

....Alt+Enter might leave you with a small window which can be stretched with the mouse in the usual way.........next time it will stay that size when you Alt+Enter..........commoner ;)
