Well, I got FSX deluxe and obviousely I didn't enjoy it because of my laptop's primitive hardware specs [see below]. But that's not what I bought FSX for. I bought it for the SDK it came with. Seems like I'll be hitting the books for quite a while as there are obviouse changes to the SDK when compared to FS9's SDK.
