Flight Decks

Postby cwloew » Sat Oct 14, 2006 2:09 pm

:(  Just uselessly thinking aloud.

It seems as if, from what I have read, that those of us with home-built flight decks are S O L, or, wil need to remake our Avionics Suites.

The guages, and switches aparently are in a different time zone, like the Boeing Classics 737 -  200 thru 500 series.

Why does every box that ever had a MS flight Sim in it say "As real as it gets" ... if that were the case, wouldn't they have just ONE sim?  Just color me amused and confused

I know, that's what makes it amusing, ... like asking "How long is a piece of string?", or "How high is up?"

Yup.......from what I have read, that appears to likely be the case........ depending a bit on what interface hardware you are tending to run.  It'll take a while for everyone to figure it all out again once they move to FSX.  Pain in the butt.

Drop down to the Homebuilt Cockpits forum sometime.

best,

Let's see, my Suite is based on the Classic Boeings 737-2 thru  400 series, but due to room, I had to compromise and abandon the realistic display by having the instrument panel on my main (lower scree) made with FS Studio .. though I'd prefer Project Magenta.  I'm using the Hagststrom Electronics keyboard encoders, ..... tower syle panels on either side of the monitors.

I really don't want to upgrade to VISTA when WIN XP Home does well and the nVidia GeForce card supports my system using one computer.

I'll be looking for you at the Homebuilt Cockpits forum.
