Textures

Postby Ashton Lawson » Mon Aug 21, 2006 3:02 am

I've been looking at the DDS textures in FSXD, and it looks complicated (cuz i'm not a modeller).  I look at them thru DXTBmp, recommend to me by x_jasper, and the textures look very detailed.  Also, I got to see the bump mapping textures.  It looked cool.

Anyway, if you see for yourself, it just says to you how cool all the addons for FSX are going to be.

DDS seems to allow more room for much more as it seems. Looks like DDS is here to stay just like XML. In that case, the more the merrier for us addon developers. ;D

You can also view and convert .dds files with IrfanView.
