Altitude

FSX including FSX Steam version.

Altitude

Postby x_jasper » Mon Aug 14, 2006 5:05 am

For a DX9c related issue, I uninstalled the demo from my current system.

I would like to know what people think of high altitude characteristics in FSX i.e. how does the aircraft handle at high altitudes, 15000' +

I did not have time to carry out these tests myself.

I am trying to establish if this sim embodies a particular fault which is present in another MS sim, since I will be compiling dynamics for FSX.

Info appreciated.

At that altitude probably not much different from FS9. It still uses the same flight modeling FS has always used. Now higher up is a different matter. I think the altitude limit is much higher but you still run into air that is so thin you have no control whatsoever.
