Getting Started? HELP PLEASE!

Postby macklinbob » Wed Dec 19, 2012 1:47 pm

I have had to switch to FS9 because FSX will not run on a computer with WinXP SP3.

I have FS9 installed and operational.

HOW DO I GET PAST THE STARTUP SCREEN?

I know how to fly. But the only thing I have is the INTRDUCTORY FLIGHT! Do I have to complete this lesson before getting to normal operation?

Select "Create Flight" and enter all your requirements for the flight; Aircraft, Airfield, Time, Weather, etc, etc....

Is it correct that FS9 only runs in the demo mode until it is registered?

If so that is the problem.

FS9 can no longer be registered.

Don't forget that you need the FS 2004 number 4 Disk running in the drive to start the Sim..

Its part of the copy protection method.

(It doesn't require registering).

Strange, I heard this many times before. I only have one (1) CD (with other Microsoft games), needs a key to install in a PC.

My head needs a new memory card ... Not a CD but a DVD, named Microsoft Software Jukebox (part of an HP Pavilionzv5000 package) with other 5 games. It never worked before: I found out, that it installs at Local Disk/program files/"Fllight Simulator 9" ...as soon as I deleted that extra "L" in FLLIGHT, it started working like a CHARM!

You must be doing something wrong because FSX runs with no problem on Windows XP SP3 I used it for years before switching to windows 8 64 bit 8-)
