FS9 flight planner problem

Postby Gringo6 » Tue Jan 25, 2011 7:24 pm

I need some help with my FS9 flight planner. I can make a flight plan as always and the route will be displayed on the GPS and in the map view but doesn't show on the map on the flight planner so it's not possible to edit the route because you can't see it.

I've got a lot of stuff on this copy FS9 and don't want to reinstall because I'd lose too much.

Somehow the fligtht planner has gotten corrupted to the point that the flight route won't show.

How do I "un-corrupt" it without losing all my other FS9 files?

Thanks,

In the Flight Planner map, did you make sure that the 'show route' icon is active (green)?

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Well you couple of choices !

one- is to recreate fs9.cfg

two- uninstal fs but dont, uninstall complete fs , means  leave file .

this way you will be lefy with few changes .

then reinstall

** alaways backup or/and create restore if you know how to do that ,

restore point is easier , but i don't think  it keeps fs after uninstall ,. so you know that

three- as far as for flight there are alot of choices like using external route editor then export to fs .

or even create route by any flight planner like fs build fscommander etc  then either convert to fs fltplan format

or export it convert automaticaly if it has export option .

or use fsnavigator inside fs ,  means inter airports and points manually then save in fsnav and export to fs , then you're done .

OK - Problem solved.  I went into "FS9.cfg" and found that the flight_plan_map was turned off for some reason so I changed it from 0 back to 1 and it works.

I believe that's also a button along the top of the map.  :)
