FSX/FS9

Postby Steve M » Thu Dec 30, 2010 8:46 pm

I loaded up FS9 and went straight to the learning center were I met the most amazing couple.. John and Martha King. After the learning center, I fired up FS9 and  tried it out. Flight was incredibly smooth, except for one thing.. Horrible jaggies on the aircraft and shimmering across the horizen. I spent at least 12 hours searching FAQ and many other threads. I've defragged with O&O 11 Pro and tried to dot all my I's and cross all my T's. I just don't know.. FSX looks and runs very nicely on my system. I changed settings in my vid card and in FS9 including using AA in game or AA set by Nhancer no luck. FS9 is managing to frustrate me as much as FSX/Accel. did!

Steve,

Shimmers-keep in game MIPS slider to 4 or 5

here are the settings (as suggested in a forum) I have used forever, and now in Nhancer on a gt240.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Steve what settings are you using with FS9 itself? What resolution are you running at?

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Good morning..thanks for the replies.

Dave, I had the in game settings as per Nicks guide and mipmaps set to 4, I've set up as you've suggested in game and in Nhancer. But still no luck.

Steve,
I'm rather new to using Nhancer. Maybe you have already checked/done this...

Highlight the FS9 profile. (You shouldn't have to type anything in the upper line if you already have a profile??).
Check that

Some thing is amiss and I am tired of trouble shooting. My FSX is running fine, so I'm uninstalling FS9 and tossing it on the shelf. It could be graphics driver, it could be Nhancer, It could be DX10, it's not in game settings, who knows?  :P
