SRTM

Postby elite marksman » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:36 pm

I've been away from here for a bit, and finally got around to installing a video card good enough to make FS9 worth playing. The only problem is I seem to have lost all of my aircraft and scenery files. I went looking for the SRTM meshes on simV, but can't find them. Anyone know where they went?

Thank you very much. Now to remember everything else that I had installed...

That's the old site page and will be deleted soon.

The new site pages are accessed either from the dynamic side menu (click links to explore) or from the Site Map

On the site map you will find a link to the current page for SRTM Mesh

A good reminder, Ground, for any FS 2004 newcomers who are still using the default FS 2004 ground mesh.
It certainly "lifts" the scenery, and makes it more realistic/natural... :)...!
It just needs installing the particular areas into your Library that you are most used to flying in....(have a peek at the downloadable map of the World).

...and its free!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...and "FS Global SE"*.... 8-)...!

Pete, either I'm blind, looking in the wrong place, or there's a missing link somewhere. If I go to FS2004 > Terrain Mesh, there is only 1 file, for Pacific Islands. Same with the site map.

And I am seriously considering getting a membership for this year... re-downloading 4-5 GB of terrain @ 33kb/s with only 2 concurrent downloads is going to be painful...

Both the old and the new links above, work fine for me...
...covers the whole World....and include the Map...

elite marksman is talking about the link from the Site Map. http://simviation.com/1/sitemap

The Global Terrain Mesh link is at the bottom of the page.

It is at the bottom of the page because (get ready to yawn) ... it is a unique page with many files and does not fit into the standard file database - which involves files being added one by one.

However I have now added a link to the page from the FS2004>Terrain Mesh section. (thank you for bringing this to my attention)
