Sound Question

I am replying to my own question.  It is hard to believe there is no one on this board who might have the knowledge to answer my question regarding sound.  That is too bad.

Need more info. Where did the switches come from originally?

A search for announcement.cab turned up the Announcement Panel here. http://www.simviation.com/fs2004panels22.htm

It contains your missing gauge plus various other files. Perhaps you need to reinstall it. You also need FSSound.dll installed & enabled in FS9.cfg for it to work. The file is included. Please read the instructions carefully.

Thank you Hagar and others for responding to my question.  I will check these things out and see if I can get the sound to work.  There must be something amiss with the sound dll as when I taxi or am in the process of taking off, no matter which aircraft I am using, I get a loud sound like something dragging.  Again, thank you for the advice.

The sound is now working properly again!   :)
