Is there anyway to fix this via amendments to the config file?

I understand that FS9 should have no limitations on number of add on sceneries but however after having 1100 add ons, I just found out yesterday that FS9 refuse to allow me to add any additional sceneries

If it's all scenery I'm surprised that Scenery.cfg can handle it.

The first thing I would do is to go through your Scenery Library & decide if you really need it all. Delete any 3rd party scenery you don't use.
The alternative would be to combine several scenery areas into one. This would need doing carefully & systematically.

Paul,
By keeping your scenery files in a separate folder all you have to do is copy your scenery.cfg file back into your FS file. Then FS will find your scenery files just where you left them. Learned that from some one 8 years ago. Works really well. Also, when you load FS each time your not loading MBs of scenery. You access the scenery files only when you enter that area. Saves you loading time and a lot of memory use. Which also keeps your frame rates reasonable. Has worked well for me.

Hello Chums......!
Using Dave's simple, copy-and-paste method of inserting all the Scenery Add-On Files in one go, how do you manage to set the important "Priority" of the Files (1, 2, etc) as you would normally do, using the "Add Scenery" step-by-step method, within the loaded Sim?
Fascinating subject......!
