L-a-g-g-i-n-g before landing

Hi all,

Every time I fly on FS9 I have a good fast running game, from taxi to takeoff to cruise everything is perfect. But every time I am on long final or final approach to land, not necessarily a busy airport, FS9 starts lagging all the way to the point where I exit the runway after landing or sometimes after I have parked in gate or parking!

Could this be because of a certain addon that does that? any solutions?

Do you have the AI traffic turned on? If so are you flying into an airport with heavy AI traffic? I know this would always slow my simulator down before I upgraded my components.

Yea, I have WOAI passenger packages all installed, and installed Ultimate traffic purely for addition of more gates and there are a few other AI packages from another source....I expect the porblem in airports like Heathrow or JFK due to heavy traffic but its annoying when i am approaching smaller airports like King Fahad (Dammam), Doha, Bahrain, Cairo...etc and I still get lagging

Any add-on sceneries on those airports besides the AI traffic? Put your scenery sliders a bit to the left, see if that helps. Turning off ground shadows helps too.

Do you have the 9.1 patch for FS9 yet? It fixes many lagging problems.

crash, no, I don't have any other addons other than a few posky aircraft and the WOAI packages I have, thanks for ur advice about ground shadows, i will disable shadows
