Doppler effect

Postby Groundbound1 » Fri Dec 18, 2009 2:15 pm

Is there any way to change the doppler shift of an aircraft in the tower (or in my case, the "flyby") view?

For instance, if you're cruising along in an F-16 traveling at near the speed of sound, you wouldn't really hear the aircraft approaching, but you'd surely hear it as it goes by. In the sim however, you hear it pretty steady in both directions.

Also, what exactly do the "SOUND_FADER" entries of the FS9.cfg do? (I thought that changing those would have done what I'm after, but they didn't.)

Thanks for the input.

Not that I am aware of.

Those settings are the sound slider settings available in the sim. You can change them in either place.

I was afraid of that. Should have known about the sliders, but it was never a part of the cfg I'd looked at before. ::)

Thanks. :)
