Lost ATC and Radios

Postby crocker » Thu Nov 26, 2009 11:32 am

Is anyone flying the 727 Professional? This is quite a detailed cockpit and flight engineers panel but great to fly. Only thing is I can't tune the com or nav radios by mouse clicking/scrolling the tuning knobs and I have lost comms with ATC. I can select the radio frequency thru the ATC pop up menu but no sound. I can mouse click the transponder frequency and the ADF but that's about it. This only happens with this aircraft. I.ve checked all the usual obvious things but still the same. This aircraft has a 'voice' box selected from the sim icon options which is pre-programmed with both Captain and flight attendant checks etc and I was wondering whether there may be a conflict with ATC sound. I have gone into the aircraft cfg to check the radio configurations and all seems OK. I know that you sometimes have to tweak these configs, ie 'Com1. = 1,1,0' etc etc but I'm not sure whether this will make any difference. I run this aircraft in FS9.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Crocker,

Fixing the radios is usually just a matter of revising the COM and NAV sections of the aircraft.cfg file, as you noted.

If the radios have a standby feature, the [Radios] section should look like this:

Com.1 = 1, 1
Com.2 = 1, 1
Nav.1

JerryH

thank you for your advice and information. I'll try a few more options in the next few days.

You can change the transponder identifier (not frequency), becasue that doesn't require the avionics to be turned on.. it doesn't even require power at all. That's what this problem sounds like..
