MUST-HAVE addons

Postby JakesF14 » Thu Nov 12, 2009 6:39 am

What is in your opinion the TOP 4 Must have freeware addons for FS2004? give reasons for your answers?

my list of essential MUST HAVE's is
1: HDE  ( It is the best freeware clouds I know of, and does not really slow your system down)
2: Softhorizons ( make the horizon flying at high altitude look more realistic)
3: FSRecorder ( not only to record flights and formation flying, but also for the adjustable camera views)
4: SRTM (AT LEAST76m) Terrain mesh for your country or the world if you can. It makes your landscape so much more true!

Hope it will help someone someday!  :-)

I know you asked for 4, but I couldn't decide which of these were the four most important to me.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks Shane for digging up the two lists.  :)

If I had to pick just 4, it would be (in no particular order):

1. HDE Environment (here on SimV)

2. FSRecorder

3. VOZ 1.8 + the AI package for it.

4. still thinking of something for this space......

1)  Real Environment Pro~really brings out the look and feel of different ground environments as well as the horizon and sky
2)  HDE Texture (clouds)~best freeware clouds for FS9 hands down
3)  Traffic View Board (If you're really into AI)
4)  FS Recorder~the possibilities are endless.
