New laptop for Fs9

I'll be doing alot of traveling in the next year and wondered if this was a decent fs9 laptop and if it would deliver good fps and graphics, would like to go for an alienware but cant afford it. this laptop is about as good as i can go right now.

Well I still agree with "ndude" about OC.Even if you have done it before, but as we know, its up to you.

I read several things about this laptop.It sounds good, the processor well it could be faster (but ofcourse the budget its what dictates the rules).4gb of ram is good to work with.Specially, and after read some reviews, it might help the gpu you have on this laptop.The 3200 its not a very good gpu, even being compatible with dx10(which it doesnt do nothing for fs9) it uses shared memory, so the amount of ram memory its a + on the laptop.
I also read that Windows 7 makes fs9 run smoother ( but it also depend on the machine that runs it).Overall, for the budget you have its a good option.

If i was on your shoes, i would gather a bit more $ until you get close to your travels and search for something better.Why? Because then you want to add your favorite planes, scenery maybe some traffic.And then you realise that you could have waited and gatther some more $ and buy something that you want instead of something you had to buy because that waqs what you had in that moment.

I dont know if this was what you wanted to read, but....well its my opinion.

The processor is plenty for FS9. I haven't experienced AMD's new onboard gpu chips, so I can't comment on it's performance.

I had an old compaq with a 2.0 P4M that ran FS9 with above 40 FPS. It had a dedicated GPU chip with 32 megs of RAM.
That laptop, incidently, is the first taste of what Flight Simulation could really be. So smooth, it looked like a movie. I'd never experienced that before.

I've got this 3 yr old Dell XPS laptop (see below) & it runs FS 9 very well with FlyTampa/Cloud9/UK2000 Extreme airports & WoAI cluttering them up with FRs locked at 26   ;)

Ty all for your opinions and thoughts 8-), think Ive made up my mind and will be purchasing this laptop. And 757200ba i would like to save up for a nicer one but i will be starting my travels in about a week so not much time to get anymore money to invest in this .  so i believe this will keep me entertained for another 8 months when im done traveling and ship off to Navy basic. I'm sure it will be satisfactory to me as ive been running an old hp with a Pentium 4 at 2.4 with 500 something of memory (not even a full gig) and a 512mb Ati X1650 :-/. And im pretty sure this laptop will give me much better performance then that did and i could squeeze an average of 30 fps out of fs9 with fly Tampa and other payware additions. As soon as i get this laptop i will begin posting some screenies. as time and internet connection allows. once again Ty all for the help
