radio break through

Postby RAFAIR100 » Thu Oct 08, 2009 12:21 pm

My downloaded Luscombe 8A Silvaire has the radio idents on all the time.     I have tried switching the idents off on the 'prop erk' panels but they still break through.    Very annoying !      Anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of them?

..very often when you have been flying a Plane and have been using the Radio Autopilot, etc, and shut the engine down with the Mixture control, ....when you change Aircraft you will sometimes find that many of the previous settings still remain to affect your new Aircraft!... :o...!
The engine will not start because the Mixture was set to Weak cut-off, and the Autopilot is suddenly taking over the control of the Aircraft from you!... :o...!
Return temporally to the Default Cessna 172, set the Mixture to Full rich, Switch off ALL the Radio settings in the Bendix-King, Switch the Radio off, then go back to your selected Aircraft again with the settings at neutral... :)...!

The occasional reason for impossible control of your new Aircraft is often due to the Radio (Autopilot) settings on the previous Aircraft having been left on..!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004... 8-)...!

P.S. ..if you are having problems starting your new Aircraft Engine, first press Ctrl+Shift+F4...(Mixture full rich).
(Ctrl+Shift+F1 is Mixture Weak Cut-off, to stop the Engine).

Again, thank you.      Although I ALWAYS switch the autopilot off before landing, I have had this problem of being unable to start up on the next flight.     We live and learn - thanks to the contributors to this forum.
