Extra layer of protection? wtf? I put both my FS9 and FSX folders in the Program Files (x86) directory and have absolutely NO PROBLEMS.
"Add/Remove" only points to the Program Files Folder.
Yes it does.
It is highly recommend that it NOT be installed in the default "Program files" location as Vista apparently adds an extra layer of "protection" to that location which is often very annoyng (to put it mildly).
Install it to a location such as C:\Games or some other location of your choice. You will be glad you did.
I understand that you should also run the installation and the program itself as "adminstrator".
