Joystick Calibrations

Postby flipside » Wed Aug 19, 2009 11:19 pm

I am using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick and am wondering if I have to adjust the [Controls] section in the fs.cfg file. I have noticed some anomolies from time to time and have wondered if the problem lies there.

Hi flipside,

Only troubles I've had with that joystick was that the twist handle rudder was poor, unstable, had trouble keeping aircraft straight or side sliping (cross controls having done it for real), turned out it was simply the joystick. In the end, the spring which centres the rudder broke from its mounting and went full left turn all the time, havent bothered with it since. There is a utility (read as was) which was on Logitech website for clearing all the registery's settings for the joysticks. I believe I still have it at home, you can also tweak the settings with it.

fly safe
May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.
