As to your question:
If you want to do it the REAL way, go to
AirNav and download the airport diagram of your choice. It will tell you exactly which runway is which, and the exact heading of said runway. I do this for nearly every airport I fly into, unless it's a very small one. Then I just fly over it and look down to get the numbers off the field. Anyway, print out the diagram and keep it handy for when you're about to land.
If you don't have a printer, don't fret. Just keep the image open on your desktop, and when you get vectors to land (IFR) or are cleared to land (VFR) just switch out for a moment and take a quick peek at the diagram.
Now, as an alternative to that, you could download
FS Navigator, a free program that pops up a complete moving map of the entire FS world with all the details of every single airport and navaid anywhere right at your fingertips. Some people prefer this to nav charts, but I still prefer to do it the realistic way.
