FS 2004 is for all those, like me, who have/had purchased FSX (when it was first released) , tried it out, and found that it fails dismally to perform to our satisfaction with our existing Hardware.
I have spent the past few years enjoying "flying" daily all round the World with my FS 2004, instead of spending the past few years dedicated to viewing the FSX and Hardware Forums in a vain attempt to improve the situation with FSX.
I despair for all the Flight Sim Newbies who waste their time desperately trying to get FSX to perform to their satisfaction, when actually they could be up in the air, and flying, with a copy of FS 2004...and then concentrate on FSX at a later date when their Computer System is more suitable for the application!....

...!
I have both FSX, (since the day it was released in England), AND FS 2004 on my hard drive, but until my Hardware becomes suitable for running FSX "smoothly" to my satisfaction, I spend my time daily enjoying FS 2004...with FSX "sometime in the future".... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!
I prefer daily "Flying", which was what the Flight Sim was meant for, instead of daily Fiddling, and desperately trying to get it to work!...

...!
Providing that my outside scenery pleases and satisfies me as I travel the World, I have little interest in the quality or appearance of the Aircraft which I pretend to "fly"...
