Malfunctioning Radio Stack

Not sure why, but the default Radio Stack in the Cessna 172 is not functioning properly. The indicator lights across the top of the stack have disappeared, the Comm and Nav radios wont change and the buttons on the transponder no longer work although I can still change the setting by clicking on the numbers with the mouse. The AutoPilot is still working normally. I've been tweaking a number of aircraft and panel cfg.'s recently but haven't changed anything to do with the radios, at least I don't think I did, but.......

What you probably did is replace the stock version with a modded version someone else made.  This tends to be the issue with most problems like this.

Try to remember what aircraft you have installed recently (or what new panels) that came with gauges.  Worse comes to worse, you can pull them from the installation disks.

The default radio stack entry in the aircraft.cfg for the C172 should look like this:

[Radios]
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1       = 1
Com.1

Did you inadvertantly turn off the avionics master?

I checked the [Radios] list in one of the aircraft (Beech Baron) and it is exactly as listed above. The problem has to be in the file for the default radio stack as it affects all the aircraft using that radio. I'm going to look in the gauge file for the default radio.

The only avionics switch I know of is the one in the individual aircraft. Is there is a master switch somewhere else? And if there is why wouldn't it affect other radios?

Try restoring all of the gau files which start with the name Bendix.

They are on disc 2 in the MSGAME3.cab

If memory serves, there are about 15 of them - and of course they all go into your default gauge folder.

There were exactly 15 of them. Using Sean's instructions and your recommendation, I found the Bendix gauges on Disk 2 and copied them into FS9 and IT WORKED!!! The radio stack is back to normal

I'm curious as to how I screwed this up in the first place, but not curious enough to go looking for it.
