inside the aircraft.cfg file, you will notice the section::

[fltsim.2]
title=Boeing 747-400 Paint2
sim=Boeing747-400
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=2
kb_checklists=Boeing747-400_check
kb_reference=Boeing747-400_ref
atc_id=N747I
atc_airline=World Travel
atc_flight_number=1123

atc_heavy=1
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type="747-400"
ui_variation="World Travel Airlines"
description="More than 30 years ago, the 747 made its first trip from New York to London.  Since then, it's become the standard by which other large passenger jets are judged. Its size, range, speed and capacity were then, and are now, the best in its class."
visual_damage=1

The part in Bold is what ATC will call you. "World Travel 1123, Turn right heading 032, and Climb to 8,000"

If you want to change your "call sign" just change the atc_airline= name and ATC will call you whatever you want to be called.

I personally have EDIT VOICEPAK installed, and OMG the realism from the ATC is 99% dead on perfect!!!!!

I agree... just download EDIT VOICEPAK, and you will have hundreds and hundreds of real world callsigns to choose from.  Plus, it accelerates all the voices, which makes the ATC way more realistic.

Agreed - Editvoicepak is a "must have" add-on.

Here is a link to the website: http://www.editvoicepack.com/

Note - you do not have to make use of the voice acceleration feature as mentioned in another post - some users like it while others prefer the standard voice speed.

BTW - you can't beat the price - free.   ;)
