Afcad 2.21 is the latest and last version of the Afcad program by Lee Swordy.

You might try Airport Design Editor as at least some of the functions you mention are available in it.

It may be only for FSX but I am not sure.

Actually all of those things can be done with SBuilder,

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2. ... uilder.zip

There is a version for FSX named SBuilderX, the link above is for the FS2004 version. Some of the items (such as taxiways) work in FSX if compiled using SBuilder for FS2004, others do not (such as ground flattens/excludes).

Several Questions:

1) The link does not work:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2.cgi?section=misc&file=sbuilder.zip ,
Where can I download this (for free) ?

2) When will AFCAD 2.3x (3.xx ??) be released that
can edit all of FS2004:
Buildings, Taxiway Signs, Airport Boundary, Etc. ?

:question

Thank you, the link worked the second time, the first time
I tried, when I clicked on the 'Download this file now!' link,
it did not work (the first time) .

There will not be any further updates to the AFCAD program. Mr. Swordy has retired from FS activities.

Just a thought, is there anyone out there that has asked
permission to continue Mr. Swordy's work on AFCAD ?

Sorry guys, just a quick AFCAD 2.21 question...

How exactly do you 'flatten' the buildings and things around the default airports?  What buttons do I push?

I added the new runway/taxiway extensions to Canberra airport - and there is a default scenery (not airport) building in the middle of the  taxiway!

You don't 'flatten' building (or other 3D objects), you 'exclude' them. 'Flatten' is for leveling the terrain.

Afcad will not do 'excludes' for the buildings. The only way to 'flatten' in Afcad is to use the 'apron polygon' tool.

SBuilder, which i mentioned above, will do both. Or there are small utilities the will.

Exclude Builder v2-to remove buildings-http://www.scenery.org/design_utilities_b.htm-download 'excbuilderv2.zip'

FSTflatten-to create flatten polygon if necessary-http://home.earthlink.net/~smgreenwood/flatten.shtml-download the 'fsutilities.zip' file
