F/A-18E Superhornet Texture Problem

Postby Jason21516 » Mon Feb 16, 2009 5:02 pm

I need help with adding textures to this plane. I have the 6 Blue Angels texture files for that plane and they won't work. This is the only plane that is giving me problems with the way I add textures. I usaually  take the file and just drop it in to the its aircraft folder and it works, but not for this one. Can someone help me with this problem. :)

"Fs 2004 F-18E  BLUE .1Final version.

Final version  with no warning labels on engine intakes.
Repaint for the superb F-18E model by Daisuke Yamamoto and team FS KBT. Texture for Blue Angels No.1 by Lucian Lie (Yago9).
email: yago9_2000@yahoo.com"

This is all it says and I have already tried emailing the guy a week ago and I got nothing back.

What are the complete filenames (?????.zip) of both the base aircraft  and the repaints you are having problems with?

I would like to download them both and see if I can spot the problem.

Were they from this site too?

Ok - I got it and see what your problem likely is.

The author of the textures did not include the data which you need to add to the aircraft.cfg file in order to make it work.

There are 55 variations in the base package.

Use Notepad and open the Suoer Hornet aircraft.cfg file.

Scroll down to the last [fltsim.XX] entry - it wil be [fltsim.55] if nothing else has been added to the base package.

Here is how it will look when added below variation number 55 (this shows both 55 and my addition)

[fltsim.55]
title=Super Hornet VFA-115 EAGLES CO's 3tank
sim=Super Hornet
model=3tank_non wepon
panel=
sound=
texture=NKco
checklists=
description=Notes: Model design by Daisuke Yamamoto
atc_id=
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=F/A-18E
ui_variation=EAGLES CO's Triple tank only
atc_flight_number=

[fltsim.56]
title=Super Hornet VFA-115 EAGLES CO's 3tank BA
sim=Super Hornet
model=3tank_non wepon
panel=
sound=
texture=Blue1
checklists=
description=Notes: Model design by Daisuke Yamamoto
atc_id=
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=F/A-18E
ui_variation=Blue Angels
atc_flight_number=

Be sure to make a backup of your present aircraft.cfg file first before adding the [fltsim.56] section.

Then be sure to Save your edit.
