Dual monitor setup in 2004

Hi all
I  need some help please  setting up two monitors for  FS2004
I have got two monitors working ok.
My main monitor is displaying the normal desk top with the desk top items  and the second monitor is showing just the screen saver.

I have started Flightsim ,undocked the view and moved one window to the second monitor but only one monitor displays an image the other window is blank and only show the top menu bar

Not sure how to setup things up

Are you trying to stretch the veiw across both monitors or are you trying to have the forward veiw on one and, lets say, the panel on the other? If its the later........I think  ;) all you need to do is right click on the screen which is working and choose "new veiw" which will produce a new window which you can drag over to your other monitor and resize to fit.........If your looking to stretch across two, then I would suggest investing in another monitor and a tripplehead 2go  8-)

...If you are using a nVidia Graphics Card, this Utility will be included with it to enable Multiple Monitors.

Its very easy to set up...

I have my Aircraft and Scenery displayed on one Monitor, and my Bendix-King radio stack displayed on the other.....!

If you are using a different Graphics Card, maybe there is a similar Program for it...included in its Installation CD?

Somewhat on the line of this thread, I have often wondered whether I could set up three monitors for FS2004.      The centre one would display the 'straight ahead' panel view (button , the left hand one would display the "10 o'clock" panel view ( button 7), and the right hand one would display the "2 o'clock" panel view (button 9).      Is such a set-up feasible and, if so, what sort of additional hardware/software would be required?

At this stage I want front view and right hand side view. I would like to get the tripplehead  2go but at the moment its a bit expensive.

I am using an asus 7600gs pci e silent with the current nvidia drivers
If you don't mind me asking how do you go about setting up monitors with nview and can you set up any view ie right, left etc..

If you are running XP then you can select the Horizontal Spanning option from nView. This is a *true* span and will Windows will see your two screens as *one* giant screen.

Too many people confuse spanning with "Extended Desktop". This is *not* the same thing!  :)

Unfortunately for me I chose the dreadful Vista when buying my new rig and baffingly...unbelivably...horizonal spanning has been disabled in this OS. So Im stuck with a stonking Core i7 system but cant dual-screen like I used to with a Pentium 4 and XP Home!

Enjoy the spanning its brilliant specially in a good VC.

I hope you have got your dual Monitors working to your satisfaction now, Rhys......!

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I am using good-old-fashioned Windows XP... :-*....

...(NOT the dreaded Windows Vista!.... ...).... ...!
