PMDG 737 800/900 Push Back Prob

Postby marko891 » Mon Jan 05, 2009 10:33 am

Hi all, just loaded PMDG 737 800/900 but cant seem to control push back direction. In the FS9 help it says press Shift P and number 1 or 2 for direction. Pushback starts ok but does not seem to turn at end of push.

Can anyone advise?

Many thanks

Mark :-?

I've had the same problem and I think it's a program glitch. Instead, I switch to the Slew mode and turn the aircraft around that way.

You're welcome. I should imagine if there was any other way to solve the issue, we'd have heard it by now. ;)

In the help where it says that, it fails to mention that you have to do it
real fast!  Press shift+p and then let off and quickly press 1 or 2 for the direction you want, the same applies to opening exits on aircraft.
Hope this helps. :)

Not sure about that, I know when I do it, I only it do it the one time and it will usually follow the taxi line backwards and then make the turn after it has cleared the gate/obstacles.
Still, it is hit or miss for me, sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't.

You must have a magic touch! I've tried it with the number pad, both Num Lock Off and ON, and with the numbers on the main keyboard, all without success. I havn't tried it with an aircraft larger than a Lear though. Could it work only with the larger airliners? :-?

Could be, I've never tried it with anything smaller than a 737. ;D
I will definately give it a try when I get home though. ;)
I seem to remember a tweak for this problem somewhere, I'll look for that too.

Didn't work with a 737 either. I'm back to using "Slew" for now. :)

I do not have that aircraft so the following may not be relevant but....

The default pushback on other aircraft works if you press the 1 or 2 key fairly soon after the Ctrl P.

[quote]Did you have Num Lock On or Off? I wonder if it only works with specific aircraft and/or specific Airports.
