I ain't no FS genius, but I usually chase 'em with a fast-moving jet like an F-15 until I run 'em down and then violate their airspace that way. It's crude, but effective. Is that what you mean or do you want to see the other airplanes from the tower, 2D cockpit or VC?
My system: AMD Phenom 9500 cpu, 2 x eVGA e-GeForce 8800GTS Superclocked vidcards (640Mb DDR3 each), Zalman "sunflower" 9700 fan, Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 mobo, 4Gb G.Skill PC2-6400 DDR2 800Mhz RAM, 2 x Sony 20X DVD writers, Thermaltake Toughpower 8

Haha :P

Yeah, I meant like some way I can just switch to a nearby airplane thats flying and just watch it for some time. Active Camera has this feature I believe, but I was just wondering if there were any other ways I can view nearby traffic (in the air and on ground). Thanks!

Ctrl+w = cycle chase forward - this shows all the aircraft in the air and on the ground in the nearby vicinity, if that's what you're after. A small window comes up with the other aircraft in view. By clicking inside that window the other aircraft becomes the active one, e.g., it's sounds become visible and it can be panned in view using a joystick.

Also, if your in spot view, will activate full screen chase view and cycle thru the active ai. will return you to your cockpit view.

Another option: You can download and install the FS2004 Traffic Toolbox SDK, download link here-http://scenery.org/tutorials_fs2k4_SDK.htm. The new Tools available from the include the Traffic Toolbox Explorer. This is a list of all 'active' ai aircraft, their flight plan and current status. From the list you can select any specific ai to view.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
