Downloading aircraft

Postby JJH » Fri Jan 02, 2009 12:18 pm

This is my first attempt at downloading a specific aircraft. The aircraft is from FS2004 - Vintage - Pg 69 - Spitfire Mk. VIII & Mk. IX. The instructions state: "Extract all the files into your FS2004 root folder." I'm not sure exactly which folder is the root folder. :-[

The root folder is the main FS9 folder. My directory to the root folder looks like this:

D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9

The folder titled Flight Simulator 9 is the root folder.

Beyond that, if I were you, to make sure that the addon does not unnecessarily overwrite anything, I would just extract it to a temporary folder on your desktop, and manually install the aircraft.
