What is the Dem4km.bgl file for?

Postby gypsymoth » Tue Aug 21, 2007 3:14 pm

The Black Brize Norton paskage dropped my frame rates to 5 so I deleted all the folders I installed.    Now FS tells me this file is missing.  I have to reinstall FS9...........!!   But - what does this file do please?

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

After thought: If you did delete folder or files check your Recycle Bin, might save having to goto the CD's.

You should be able to restore whatever you need to from your install disks - rather than do a complete re-install.

Check out this marvelous resource:

http://www.cat-tamer.com/flightsim/faq001.html

It shows where everything is on your install disks and how extract just what you need.

I also recommend fs9cddir.zip Compiled by Brian Collins (not sure if it is in the library here but you can find it at Flightsim and Avsim for sure)

This is an Excel format listing of all the files on your install disks. A great resource to keep handy.

Good luck!
