Landing lights

I messed up by installing something without backing up the halo and spotlight textures and found myself with lights that look nothing like the real thing. I fixed that and now they look realistc but I cant see them hardly at all is there a way to simply increase the brightness?
I have entered the light section in the display section of the fs9.cfg.
Specs
E6300, 3 gigs 800 Ram, 8800GT oc, 400gig Sata drive, Windows XP Pro 64 Bit..

The only way that I know of to change the luminosity of any lighting effect, would be to modify the effect file itself. You can open them with any standard text editor (like notepad). The colors and brightness are usually controlled by RGB codes.

However, if you plan to delve into the realm of effects mods, I would strongly recommend you download the FS2004 effects SDK. It's a great thing to have on hand.

Also, if you haven't yet, give "Nick's LightFix VERSION 2" a try.

Hope it helps.
