Hello Shane..

..That looks like the additional  odds and sods necessary to keep your Default Baron 58 as slippery as Fozzers amazingly slippery one...;)..!

F...there is nothing else which can touch a slippery Beech Baron 58...trust me,,,;)...!

...a very slippery character... ;)...!

Certainly not those Yak-12s that some chose to fly on Saturday! ;D
I'm still amazed they made it over the mountains. :D

Thank you for the help. :)

I'm so confused   :-[

Do we copy the aircraft.cfg [General] section

or

the .air file? <-- How do I open that anyways?

Yes the cfg. ;) You need a program called aired to open up the .air files, I did this and was presented with a ton of stuff I probably shouldn't mess with. ;D

Just copy everything from the [General] section on down, and replace the same sections in the default cfg for the Baron, leaving all the stuff above that section in original form.

Thanks Shane. I'll try that as soon as I get home from work  ;)

For the love of god, can someone explain to be why they have 25Gb worth and or 500 plus aircraft on the hard drive?

Is this another fishermans tale?

The online play is the main reason for adding in so many new ones lately. It seemed as though I never had the plane that someone else was using.

When you have a 500Gb hard drive, you gotta fill it up somehow. ;D

I can't believe how much better this plane flies now. I've added in a couple of panel upgrades to mine and now I can't leave it alone. ;D
I think fozzer was right, you don't need 500 planes when you have one slippery Baron. ;)

;D ;D ;D

No ... it's not a fisherman's tale. Nearly all of the '500 plus aircraft' are for AI purposes. I apparently have a lot of AI.

And those are only the aircraft models ... think about all the repaints :o ::) ;D

Aye ... very true Shane! And then I have a second FS9 install on that drive plus a Combat Flight Simulator, fully loaded with all  kinds of cool stuff  ;D

Adding another off-topic point to this discutio:

I've seen a pic from Harold's aircraft folder... the aircarft's name seems renamed ....

Can you rename an aircraft's folder?

'Cos mine is so confused... numbers, codes, or DBSxxx..ALFAxxx

I'm afraid to rename because many sounds or panels are common and made reference to the aircraft exact name...
???

You can rename an aircraft's main folder to anything you wish. The folder name is only important if other aircraft are aliased to use its panel or sound. I would leave the default aircraft alone.

As always, be careful. Don't do it all at once.

To prevent endless Radio Chatter, (and relieve the load on my Frame Rates), I restrict my AI to 5-10% max...and all those are General Aviation Aircraft only, ....I don't want to tangle with Commercial Passenger Jets!!

My sort of flying involves gentle, low altitude, tours with my GA Piston Props in a clear...and safe..sky!... :-*...!

F...G-BPLF... 8-)...!

...(Two Aircraft in my Hangar + Default!)... ;)...!
