Heeeellllllp!!!!!!!

Postby jrbirdman » Sun Nov 23, 2008 10:52 am

I downloaded a scenery file that I thought would be nice only to find it looks too caroonish. I over-wrote the default world textures and I want my FS9 to go back to the way it was. I can't find my discs to do a complete reinstall either. Help me get them back pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaasssssssseee!!!! :'(

Check in your Windows wastebasket ....... hopefully you did not empty it.  If the install of the new textures was some sort of "automatic" thing...... then it may have created an automatic backup (read the docs).

Other than that, I think the only legal way is to copy them over from the original disks.  Start searching.....it can't be THAT hard.

best,

The problem is I recently moved and I know I lost some things in the move and I think they may have been part of that loss. I checked and it wasn't in the recycle bin. I really need help here.

Not to make light of your bad situation but if I move house I put my FS9 discs in the same box as my Fender Stratocaster, my Picasso paintings and my insurance policies. Oh, and I also check that the wife comes along also. ;D ;D

As Fozz says, at least a new set of discs are not going to cost the Earth.

Best.

Add to that, if you find your oroginal FS9, you can put the second away in a safe place (TM), as a back-up in case the "in use" (tm) set gets damaged.   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

It shouldn't.  I reinstalled and made backups of my add-on, but much to my surprise, they were still there after the reinstall. But you can make a back up of your aircraft, effects and gauge folders it you want to be safe. After the install, check to see if everything is there.  A back-up won't hurt, nor will it make your head explode. :)

Okay last question, will I have to reinstall my AI flight plans and such? It would suck if I had to since I have every PAI package available.
