COM and NAV frequencies wont change

Postby heelswinagain » Thu Nov 13, 2008 2:04 pm

I click on them and the only ones that will move are XPND and ADF. Is there a way to fix this in the .cfg files?

Which make, and type, of Radio Stack are you referring to?

...and on which aircraft?

In the aircraft.cfg file you will find something about the radios having a standby frequency I believe.  Someone else with more detail can help you more.

In the typical Bendix-King Radio Stack you dial up the Standby Frequency on the Radio first....then have to remember to toggle it over to the Active Frequency for it to take effect!

Commoner,

You gave him the values for the default Lear 45.  He said he's using an addon panel.  So he probably needs to change the values to a multi-radio aircraft:

[Radios]
// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1, 1
Com.2=1, 1
Nav.1=1, 1, 1
Nav.2=1, 1, 0
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1

Ok then Jim....I was thinking maybe he had a bad radio set up in his .cfg...actually, not knowing if his new panel uses standby frequencies, it would be neccessary for HWA to give us the panel he downloaded otherwise this section can't really be amended.

...commoner :-/

Thanks everyone! Commoner had it right. Webb, the code you posted is how it came originally with the panel. Again, I appreciate everyone's input as it not only helped me fix the problem, but I learned something today!

I knew someone would have the particulars of what to change.  I've done it before, but couldn't quite remember what its called.

Ok H.....yes it does happen that essential files get overwritten from downloads........too often really I might add. This section is not difficult to understand  as the first line explains it...

// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope.

For each Radio Type, the first 1or 0 is whether that particular radio is AVAILABLE. The second 1 or 0 is if the STANDBY swap function is used, and the third 1 or 0 is for the GLIDESLOPE.........not each one has all three numbers you will notice.........As usual it is 1 for true and 0 for false......

...that's how I see it at least...........commoner ;)
