Nosewheel Difficulties - AFG Beech King Air 300

Postby Staiduk » Fri Oct 17, 2008 2:30 am

Hello!

AFG's Turbo King is magnificent, but there's a problem I can't seem to solve. The nosewheel steering stops working once the undercarriage is retracted.

Yes, yes, ha, ha. I mean once you drop 'em again. ;D

When the aircraft first loads; no problewm at all. She taxis and steer sweetly. After flight though; the nosewheel won't steer. It's not a big problem; she turns nice enough with diff. braking but it's annoying.

I know it's not related to any damage from a hard landing - I've put the puppy down so sweetly on a few tests the runway never felt it. :) It has something to do with something not working once the gear is pulled up.

Anyone know what it is? And if there's a fix?

Thanx :)

Haven't heard of this issue, I'll investigate and get back to you later.

Yeah; I was hoping to avoid that possibility... :)

Thanks for the advice, Sean; that's what I'll have to do. :)
